    Went with two friends and we all loved it! Cozy little restaurant with romantic but dark lighting (in the evening) and very unassuming looking on the outside but it feels authentic and from the servers to the food it's clear that's exactly what this restaurant is. I forgot to take pictures of our meals since we were all excited to eat but the Eggplant Parm, Steak, and Linguine with Meatballs were all fantastic. Homemade marinara sauce will tell tales. Before the entrees they brought us toast with seasonings and bruschetta as well. Before dessert they brought us watermelon, and with the check we got little amaretto cookies! Dessert, by the by, was what topped off the experience as perfect. We tried all three they offered, ice cream, cannoli and tiramisu. The cannoli was perfect, the ice cream was sweet but delicate and fluffy, and the tiramisu was heavenly and agreeably the best any of us had ever had. It was moist, not too sweet, incredibly fluffy and full of flavour. Wrap up your meal if you need to save room for dessert because it's so worth it. P.S. The server were very kind and attentive. Not overly sweet like you'd expect in an American restaurant, but rather in a genuine way you'd expect from an Italian man. He very much deserved our tip and I can't wait to go again when I'm in the area. :)

    Don't go to this little place. My wife and myself had made a reservation for dinner on Saturday night, showed up 15 minutes early and were told by a mustachioed waiter that they had given our table away to friends. We had made the reservation over 24 hours earlier. They are not honorable people as it was evident they knew exactly what they were doing. Gene M

    The hidden Italian gem in Dania Beach... The REAL Italian trattoria!!! Starting with the REAL Italian experience: small, cozy place, handle by the owners, you literally feel in Italy. The food is real, made from scratch, no BS. Good prices, good selection on the menu, no surprises here. Complementary bruschetta to start, watermelon and sambuca to finish... Is just AMAZING! I couldn't stress more: if you are around the area, or even a little far... Take the trip! You would not regret! BRAVO!

    This is truly a hidden gem! Love this place. Definitely looks like, and has the ambiance of, a family operation. The food tastes like Italian food is supposed to taste, and the espresso tastes like, well, espresso. The prices are quite reasonable. I was reminded of that Italian place my parents took me when I was a kid. This one definitely goes on the travel advice list....

    Finally got to try this place and I have def been missing out! Cute little atmosphere - great spot for an intimate dining experience. It only hosts about 10 tables and is a bit off the beaten path. The service is spot on and the menu has a great selection. The waiter greeted the table with fresh bread and a small plate of bruchetta crostinis. Both very fresh and very good. The pasta is fresh and the sauces are amazing. It was def a hard decision as everything on the menu sounded amazing. Get the linguine with clams! Very yummy and they do not skimp on the clams!! And the tirimisu. Def get the tirimisu! 5 stars all around for this place.

    I would have never found this place, had it not been for YELP! Thank you! This restaurant is very small. It has less than 10 tables, and is located on the corner of a side street. MAKE A RESERVATION!!!!!! We happened to have gotten lucky, because we went in on terribly rainy day and most people had made cancelations, their loss, our gain. The service is incredible. The moment we walked in, we felt welcome. They sat us right away, brought out menus, and explained their specials. The brought out a bruschetta for everyone to start with. It was really good but needed a pinch more salt for my taste. The came with our bottle of wine and allowed us to sample before making our final decision. Any time our glass ran low, the server came over and refilled the glasses for us. The bread they bring out was toasted and buttery, all plusses in my book. I ordered the house special lasagna... BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! No joke. I am very particular about my lasagna, it's my favorite dish and It needs the right cheese to meat ratio, a flavorful sauce, not dry, noodles al dente and so forth. I have a criteria I go by. This hit the spot. It was a large portion and I was not shy about eating the entire thing. One surprise I had yet to experience was the addition of hardboiled egg. I liked it, it gave a whole different textural experience. Well done. My two friends, super original, both ordered chicken parmesan with linguini. One thought there was a little to much sauce, but in that same note, he ate all of it with the bread provided on the table. And the other thought that the chicken was a little tough, but still ate everything. After our plates were licked clean, they brought a fresh slice of watermelon for each of us to clear our palettes. We ordered the tiramisu to share. This is where I went wrong. The tiramisu is way too good to share. It was delicious and creamy and you could tell that they used a richer cocoa powder to top it. Amazing! When we got they check, they also brought little amaretto cookies as well. A nice finish to a great meal.

    During a LONG delay at FLL airport, we took a taxi here based on the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Our meals (eggplant parm and lasagne) were good size portions and a great price. This is a small, intimate restaurant where the owner takes pride in his restaurant. So glad we found Tuscany Caffe!

    Truly Italian!!! We felt as if we were in Italy. In town from New Orleans, can't wait to come back. The food and service were both amazing! Ambiance is so comfortable and welcoming. The staff and owner are very hospitable, you feel like family. Don't pass up the opportunity to try this place!

    You know how you return to the States after 4 weeks in Italy & you wish you could find food that fabulous here at home? Lucky you! You just found it at Tuscany Caffe in Dania. Thanks again to my friends from Milan! Never would have found this on my own. *Authentic, fresh, flavorful: transported back to Italy *Cod special, baked in foil, with fresh veggies *Osso buco, so tender that you don't need teeth *Linguini with whole clams! Not "clam sauce!" *Generous portions, fair prices *Remember that feeling you had? Now I know why people return to Italy again & again when there are literally hundreds of other places in the world to see...Tuscany Caffe is like a 2-hour trip back to Italy *NOT "American" Italian food...the owner & chef are from Italy! Only the highest standards for a 5-star dining experience!!!!!

    I was kind of hesitated to write this review at first. I know many other Yelpers had given this place rave reviews. So if I were to gave an unfavorable review, I might be getting a few messages from people telling me that I was wrong. But if I don't do a honest and fair review about this place based on my own personal experience, then I am not doing my job as a Yelper! So here goes..let the messages flow. First of all, reservations are strongly recommended. We showed up at 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon thinking that we beat the dinner rush. But apparently that's not the case. We walked in the door and the older waiter asked if we had made a reservation in which we replied no. Then he went on and said something like well, we will be very busy tonight so all I can offer you is this small table by the door. Okay fine, no big deal but I just wish he'd have said it more friendlier. So we sat down and this older gentleman proceeded to take our order. He seemed he doesn't really care about us as the customers because he never really look at us when explaining the specials off the menu. That doesn't really matter to us neither as long as the food is good, well. I ordered the lobster ravioli. I think my ravioli was undercooked because the pasta was thick and it was chewy. And the sauce was a little plain which a little salt or pepper could help. My wife ordered the sausage and mushroom with pasta. I tasted the sausage and it was very tough and salty and the pasta was very watery. Maybe our expectation was too high before coming here after reading all the good reviews. And when we finally got here, the food did not deliver to our expectations. One thing I did notice was that at the time we asked for the check, a gentleman dressed like the head chef walked in the door and greeted a few guests at another table. So, perhaps our meals was prepared by the line cook or sous chef. Therefore, I am willing to give this place another chance. Only this time I will call ahead and make the reservation at the normal dinning hour at 7pm. And if I got great meals at the next visit, I think I will be coming back and write an updated review.

    Dania Beach is always giving me little surprises and here is the latest zip to my system and waistline. The Yelp photos intrigued me; especially the rear garden set and the reviewer's comments naturally. My first experience was with Richard at the Bad Boys of England, the English pub nearby and then I went on to investigate what this little town's hidden treasures were. I found another in The Tuscany Caffe. It is very small, but when seated the room size seems not to matter at all because the server was so attentive and the walls were decorated charmingly. I picked up the menu and had one of those "God what shall I have this all looks so interesting and should be tasted moments". First I thought proscuitto & mozzzanella, uh no, antipasto, and finally settled for Salmone Fumicato. It was such good salmon with it's lovely lemon olive oil, capers and onions (served with toast points with a tad of garlic); I made wee open faced sandwiches. Then I couldn't decide between the rack of lamb or the eggplant parmigiana or the lobster raviolis. The server said that the special that night was lasagna, ok, lasagna it would be, but what to have for the fish course. The cod was out so I settled on the clams which must have been Palourde, or carpet-shell clams, vongola verace, the small, Mediterranean, also known as the Tellina or "bean clam". Both types are also called arselle in Liguria and Tuscany and look a wee bit like Cherrystones, but the flavour, my oh my, what a treat. The lasagna was very good; I loved the slightly tart sauce. Desert was a lovely gelato, (gelato gets that soft, elastic texture and slow-to-melt milkiness compared to ice cream's richer, creamier body and I prefer it) which tasted like Bailey's Irish Cream topped with a reduction of something that tasted like Disarano liqueur which is an infusion of "apricot kernel oil" with "absolute alcohol, burnt sugar, and the pure essence of seventeen selected herbs and fruits"; the product does not contain any almonds or other nuts, yet reminds one of Amaretto. I dunno...but it was yummy! I finished with fresh espresso and Sambuca with coffee beans floating on the top.I live quite close to this little cafe and will come back as long as my diet permits. I just can't seem to get that diet going when I see menus created by owner/chefs like the Tuscan who owns the Caffe Tuscany. ***Of special interest to me was the fact that they had NO television blasting out the latest spots scores.

    Amazing food! Family run place. Great service. Seriously good, no, GREAT Italian! Try the lasagna it's the house special or the Linguini with clams and muscles and garlic in a white wine sauce. Small place. Make a reservation. You won't regret it!!

    My wife and I have been here a few times the service is out of this world and the dinners are the same very tasty large portions . I called Thursday at 10:32 am to book a table just as I've done in the past. We arrive at 8:00 pm the owner short and heavy ask do we have a reservation yes we do I give him my name Charles he explains too me I never called show him my phone the time I called now he explains again that I called to talk about the menu. There's nothing like a short FAT little man with a very smart mouth who just can't say I MADE A MISTAKE kept putting blame on me. Will never return. HEY LITTLE MAN F K OFF

    We decided to run in for a quick lunch one Saturday. It's a small room with only a handful of tables. It looks old, but mostly in a quirky, nice way. It wasn't bad on speed which was good because there was hardly anyone there. It was weird because partway through our meal some random person walked in saying she needed a job. She looked straight at a man who claimed to just be a customer. Then, she wandered into the back. It was a little strange. Overall, our waitress was nice, and the lasagna and tiramisu we had was okay. We wouldn't go out of our way to come back, though, due to how average it was. P.S. One pet peeve is in relation to when they asked us what we wanted to drink. When we said water (thinking usually free), they brought us out bottled water. I probably wouldn't have had anything to drink if I knew they were going to bring us bottled water, but there was no verbal disclosure before she brought it out. Call me petty, but that kind of bothered me.

    Accidentally Amazing! What a surprise, we found this place on Yelp and walked there from our hotel and were a bit skeptical based on the building but once we opened the door to the small but quaint dining room we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The service was awesome and the food was flat out AMAZING! If you are considering eating here, do it!

    Great place. Definitely a local favorite. Full of blue-hairs with wraparound sun glasses. Initially the place was empty, but by 7pm it was packed. You might want to phone for reservations. The service was spot on. I asked for a glass of Chianti, which they do not carry, so he recommended a Sangiovese blend. Very good. I had the special. It was some noodles with meat sauce. Very, very good. I know I'm not being helpful in not giving the name of the dish. But hey, what's in a name anyhow? Trust my review - go here and you will be happy with your meal.

    Don't judge a book by its cover... I was staying at an airport hotel and looking thru yelp for a nice dinner. This place had good reviews and so a work associate and I gave it a try. It was great! Driving up to the location in a back-alley type location, we didn't know what to expect and when we walked into the very small facility and there was only one other party there, we were a bit concerned, but it was off season. We were greeted by an authentically Italian gentlemen who seemed to be host, waiter and more. We received complimentary bruschetta and while the menu is short (which I appreciate), there were specials offered as well. I can say that the experience was great with well above average service and very good food. We both had specials and both meals were solid. Finally, the pricing was very reasonable and I'd return to this location for sure next time I'm in the area.

    My husband and I are claustrophobic, and sitting close to others, especially to obnoxiously loud diners is normally a low point for us, but it is what it was and we really enjoyed our meal at Tuscany Caffe. When you walk through the door, the room is TIGHT! That was a quite a SHOCK to us, since we were hoping for a quiet date night. We are used to being stared at, which is par for us the stunning couple that we are haha, but all the tables were full except one table dead center restaurant, tight next to another couple-center stage. Lol. A very loud man and his giggly paramour kept my husbands teeth grinding because they were like 1 foot behind him. Definitely wear deodorant because all the tables are REALLY close. Waiter was THE BEST. It was like we were family, he didn't skip a beat. Then as the night went on and the shouter people behind us eventually left, another more pleasant group at a nearby table started chatting with us. Hubby had the lasagna......He was extremely happy until he bit into a carrot-he is mentally allergic to vegetables. I was in heaven with the lobster ravioli dish, the best I've had-I am a ravioli fan in general. Like others have commented, each pocket was filled with chunks of lobster. There were about 8 pockets in the dish, spaced our in a peach colored creamy vodka sauce. The portions were good size, maybe about half a Maggiano's portion. Definitely a more authentic Italian family restaurant neighborhood experience, my husband compared it to being better than Boston North End restaurants. We have yet to visit Italy (next year fingers crossed ;-)

    An 'old school' Italian restaurant with great food. Wine: surprisingly good. Given the old appearance, we were nervous walking in, but the Cabernet took care of that. Food: * Lasagna was amazing - a must have * Salmon - very good (fresh, well prepared but light on seasoning) * Antipasto - enough to serve 2 well. Bologna was so so but sun dried tomatoes, artichokes and all the west was heart. * Steak was ok- good portion and well cooked- prob medium grade meat. Dessert- Tiramisu was amazing. Service: respectful, pleasant and speedy. Nice touch: they added Sambuca to our expresso.

    My fiancé and I walked in, hoping to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement. We figured that a table for two would not be a problem. We walked in and were told that one of the tables left open was reserved all night (for ghosts apparently) and the other for an 8 o'clock reservation. I asked if we could sit at one of the weathered tables out front because we didn't want to be rushed. We just wanted a nice, chill, no frills relaxing dinner to celebrate us..... ....They told us to come back another night. .....or never.....we can NOT believe a business just turned away a guaranteed sale!

    I had the salmon and the lasagne. Lasagne by far was better very saucy cheesy goodness.... I just ate the leftovers! To me the salmon was plain and over cooked I like mine medium or it's too tough & chewy. But the lasagne, yes with egg I will go back for. I would also like to try some of the other pasta dishes. I had the Tiramisu for dessert I thought that was excellent on it's own. They put something like Hershey's chocolate syrup on the plate for decoration ..... I'm not a fan of that maybe chocolate shavings would be better :) Overall it's a great place I will go back. Alone, with friends or on a date yes.... I don't see any room for crying babies though it's very cozy.

    Look at the Yelp stars people and get your butts over to this amazing family run establishment! My Yelp Mobile App and all those wonderful stars brought me here and they deserve every one. OK, it's on a back street and it doesn't look like much from the outside but you'd be making a big big mistake if you didn't give these folks a try. By the way, street parking is easy here. It's a tiny place with just a few tables. You'll be given a single sheet menu. While you're perusing it order a glass of house wine. It will cost you $6 and change and the pour is huge. A couple of these babies and you'll be singing 'Ole Sole Mio like a native! Next up is complimentary bruschetta. Delicious! Everywhere you listen you hear Italian accents. You just know this is going to be amazing. I tried a simple salad with balsamic and it was perfect with strictly fresh greens. One of the specials was a LASAGNA WITH HARD BOILED EGGS. Are you kidding me; hard boiled eggs! The owner told me he grew up with lasagna made that way. It came with an incredible meat sauce and was OMG delicious. The portion was large and it was easily the best lasagna I have ever devoured. When your delightful meal is near its end you'll receive a single clementine on a plate. It looks unusual but it is delicious. You'll also receive a complimentary glass of Sambuca. Throughout my meal my waitress was excellent. I believe she was the owner's wife. Speaking of the owner, he stopped by my table twice. Let's talk about pricing for a moment. The owner will tell you that his model is to keep his entrees under $20 and the menu reflects that. You'll see $13.95-$19.95. A very rare special may go slightly over $20. It's my pleasure to award these folks five stars.

    Food prepared in such a lovely manner, and quality is superb. My meals experienced here are some of the best Italian food /meals I have eaten. The outside appears like a shack. Please don't let this appearance dissuade you from entering the restaurant. Small space for tables, but please wait for the food. It will simply be one of the best meals you will have while in the Ft Lauderdale area. A complementary tangerine finished our meal : very tasty. I am so glad that we had ventured forward and tried this restaurant; I will definitely return for the food each time I"m anywhere near this neighborhood !

    This place is awesome! From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but inside, they make you feel like you are part of their big Italian family! The food comes in huge portions (one dish is big enough for two people) and it is all very authentic and delicious. Before you eat, they bring you some included anti pasti (oil and garlic croutons and bruschetta). I would recommend the caprese salad and the gnocchi. Come here if you want authentic, homey, and delicious food!'

    We went to Tuscany for dinner based on the 4 1/2 star rating on Yelp and were a little surprised when we arrived. Tuscany sure didn't look like a 4 1/2 star restaurant but we decided to go in anyway. Inside it looked like a very small neighborhood restaurant with two Italian gentlemen waiting all the tables. The food and service were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience.

    Went on a Wednesday night between 7:30-9:30pm. There was only one other table seated in the restaurant all night. Service was excellent! Giovanni was our friendly waiter. They start you off with a lovely little complimentary bruschetta. We ordered a nice bottle of Super Tuscan wine, and shared the Caprese Salad, which was delicious and fresh! I ordered the special lasagna with a meat sauce and hard boiled eggs inside. It was, quite possibly, the best lasagna I've ever eaten! My mom ordered the rack of lamb aka baby lamb chops and loved them! And my sister ordered the lobster ravioli... Homemade and scrumptious! The only reason why I didn't give Tuscany Caffe 5-stars was because I would have liked it if they would have served a dinner salad with each entree. Great place, great meal!

    Great find. This spot is about the food, not the ambiance. The spot is off the beaten path. Decor is not the place's strong points, although it is very inviting and feels like an Italian Bed and Breakfast. The service is friendly and the food, wow, amazing. Isn't this what it is all about? Real authentic Italian dishes (not Italian American) Everything was delicious, and the bread is the best in the world. Yes, that good. Soft, yet with a perfect crunch. Will definitely come back a try something else. Not a place for a date, unless you want to impress a foodie.

    Was pleasantly surprised tonight - this place served up the best lasagna that I've ever had, it was better than mom's! My date had a clam pasta meal - was SO GOOD. Then, everything was capped off with a watermelon & a most fabulous tiramisu, again best I've ever had (no joke) It's quite quant in here, so call ahead & reserve a table. All in all this place is an awesome little taste of Italy, hidden in a side street of Dania.

    Make sure to get reservations. Restaraunt only has like 7 tables. Overall, the food was good. The thing that was most amazing to me was the red sauce on my pork chop! Wow. Also, the tiramisu is probably the best in South Florida. Negatives - they don't have complimentary water and you pay for every bottle. Also, they serve their drinks from cans - so no free refills.

    Whoa!!!! What a delightful little backstreet Italian Restaurant, one in which seemingly every patron, member of the wait staff and proprietor spoke fluent Italian. While I was there I think I was the only one speaking English hit me as a pretty good indication, aside from the food itself, that I had really stumbled upon an honest to goodness Italian Restaurant. I had several glasses of house wine, which turned out to be a rather good quality Merlot poured full measure for a mere $6.50 together with mussels in spicy red tomato sauce, their luncheon specialty of the day, on top of a good spaghetti al dente. It's also a charmer of a "Caffe," located on a little backstreet of Dania Beach with an indoor, backside outdoor patio and sidewalk seating. My service couldn't have been better, more polite, friendlier or mannerly and I confess that I was initially impressed by the "Yelp" sign on the front door entrance window. I've only eaten here this once, so I can't go to five stars, but I can go four stars for what I belive to be a superb combination of service, quality and value.

    If you want authentic Italian cusine then Tuscany Caffe is your place to go. Dine in or call ahead for pick up if you live inthe area. My favorite dish in the chicken parmessan over linguini. It also comes with salad instead of the pasta. Be very hungry as the portions are substantial. Wait staff speaks Itlaian among themselves and that at least makes me feel that I am back in Italy. Great place to eat and share with family or friends.

    This is a tale of 2 different experiences. I have to break it down to lunch and dinner. I really wanted to like this place so I came back a few times wondering what's all the raves about. Having eaten here a dozen times I have to say, stay away from lunch!!! The panninis are passable; and the pizza belongs on the Hollywood broadwalk. I take that back the broadwalk is better. the dough is on a par with Subways PIzzilla's. On the other hand the dinners are absolutely wonderful. I have had great pasta dishes and mussels Fra diabilo that was out of this world! My only complaint is that on weekends you need reservations

    One of the things that I love the most about South Florida is the diversity. You can find all kinds of people here, and Italians are no exception. The food is some of the best in the country as a result. This place is located on a side street in an unassuming location in Dania Beach. It is small and quaint, but the food is about as good as you can expect to find. The ambiance is that of a small cafe in Italy. Everyone that was in here was speaking Italian (the owner, the wait staff, the patrons...everyone). The food is fresh and you can tell there is a lot of pride in the product that is put out. I had a delicious prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, and basil panini. The wife had eggplant parm. She is a New Yorker and I have spent time in Italy and we can both attest to the simplicity and quality of these dishes. The service was great, the staff friendly, and under $25 for the meal. It's a little far from Miami, but if we are in the area, we will be back.

    If not for the delicious red sauce this would be a two star review. Based on how long it took to get reservations to this little, apartment-kitchen sized restaurant, my wife and I had incredibly high expectations. We had stopped by once and were summarily rejected as they were booked, sorry! In South Florida, especially in summertime, needing reservations on a weeknight is incredibly rare. Upon our arrival, it became apparent that reservations are because the place is very popular, but also only has 7 tables. Upon arrival we were greeted by an older waiter who asked if we had reservations, we merely said yes and that was enough (I wonder if less honest people just shuffle past to any open table?) A lot of the old couples strolling in didn't even give a name when asked if they had reservations, and no appointment book was visible. My wife ordered the pork chop set in a pizza-like tomato sauce on special, I ordered a chicken parmigiana. I feel these dishes are pretty straight forward fixtures for italian cuisine. Bruschetta that needed salt was served to us, followed by some nicely toasted garlic bread, which needed salt. Tuscany Caffe puts dry, raw oregano, rosemary and other dry herbs on their bread... this shouldn't be. Proper seasoning must be chopped fresh, not sprinkled from McCormick. Entrees arrived, and I'll say, the food was good... not mind-blowing great as some of these Yelp reviewers report. The red sauce recipe is *excellent* and saves the dishes, and the chef uses it liberally. That's the saving grace. Without the red sauce, this food is forgettable. Seriously, chicken parm isn't a culinary challenge. An intrinsic negative of this restaurant is the tight quarters you're in. We had some older, very deaf-and-loud diners sharing the space that were reminiscent of Frank and Estelle Constanza from Seinfeld in age and loudness/intensity-- it was distracting and not at all romantic for us. We won't likely seek Tuscany Caffe out again, it's not nearly as magical as everyone here reports. A nice touch is the watermelon served following the meal. Our tummies were full, but the food doesn't call to me again.

    OMG I am stuffed to the max with delicious Italian food. I had the lasagna (one of the specials of the evening) and my wife had the lobster ravioli. We were not disappointed one bit. Great service and Italian ambiance. It's a tiny cafe but it is big on flavor. We finished it all up with their mouth watering tiramisu. That was the first time I've tried lasagna with hard-boiled eggs in it. The bolognes sauce on it was magnificent! I'm glad we live less than 15 minutes because we'll be back.

    Probably the best Italian food I've had. The sauces were flavorful and delicious. The service made you feel like a special member of the family. Yelp steered us right again! The four of us each ordered something different and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but I could go with the stuffed shells just because it's such a simple dish that was just excellent. We also had the gnocchi, lobster ravioli, and eggplant parmigiana. We were stuffed but still decided to share a tiramisu for dessert. Perfect finish!

    We chose Tuscany Caffe because of YELP reviews and that it was 2 blocks from our hotel (Holiday Inn Express). What a find! We live above Little Italy in Cleveland, and this small restaurant (7-8 tables) was a marvelous find.Reservations a good idea due to limited size. The wine selection was good and almost all were about $25. Our Chianti was very acceptable. The mini bruschetta was tasty, toasted Italian bread, excellent house salad ($6) good for two of us. The lasagne, described by the chef, one of two workers, was irresistable. It was a huge portion and perfect. I never order Lasagne, but was delighted. Perfect sauce. Fresh tangerines were served to everyone before asking about dessert. We declined dessert, but the terramisu served to our nearby table was described as perfect, another large portion. We will definitely come here if we are again in Fort Lauderdale.

    Arrived late afternoon on a weekday so we weren't crowded with other diners. Only two other tables of patrons having leisurely lunches. We had the pastas : one primavera and the other marinara. Both were quite good. And as others have said, the portions were large enough that we had the rest of it for dinner the next night. The ambience was rustic Italian, the service was friendly but not fawning, and the prices were very reasonable. My only quibble: when asked whether we wanted sparkling or flat water, we said flat, expecting tap water. Instead we were each given a bottle of water. I don't mind having to pay for it, I just thought they should have been clear about the fact that we weren't being brought glasses of free tap water. That said, we would still definitely go back.

    Excellent basic Italian, fantastic service, small place where it's like eating at Nonna's. The owner is usually on site. This place is tiny, like maybe 7 or 8 tables depending on how many have been pushed together for parties of 4 or 6. I love the antipasto platter which is huge and generously laden. There are little extras such as a bruschetta nosh at the start. As far as tips on getting a table, we are generally late eaters and generally go to dinner around 9 and have never had a problem even without a reservation, but early birds might due to the small size.

    Absolutely worth going to!! I was searching for a good place to eat around the airport and voila, Tuscany Caffe hit the nail on the head! Great service, awesome food --best salmon I've had in years!. Go early as it is a small establishment or make reservations. My wife had the linguine mare monti which was also a very good dish. It just felt right eating there and our waiter took very good care of us. Having visited Italy several times I have to say they've got it right. A culinary delight!

    Fabulous food and great service. Recently yelped this place while driving out of nearby Oakwood plaza. 5 minutes later we were seated and enjoying bruschetta appetizer and chilled merlot. Dinner began with the calamari and progressed to lobster ravioli and linguini with clam sauce. Dessert was cannoli and some type of cocoa dusted vanilla and chocolate gelato. First rate food. Warning: small place, few tables, call first to avoid disappointment.

    I wish I had more time to write this review but what's most important here is that I echo the resounding chorus of fabulous and might I add deserved rave reviews.. I had pasta pomodoro with meatballs- about as basic as you can get - and it was bursting with flavor... Meatballs were amazing.. Sauce was fresh and tasty... Bread is toasted- then drizzled with olive oil and finished with house herbs added. Everyone here patrons included were speaking Italian to eachother and it was obvious many of them were friends with the owner - could not have enjoyed this more. What a great find! *just south of FLL airport a block off route 1 -with easy parking. Tater gives this place all 5 stars with pride & And my first ever "Tater Two Forks" endorsement.

    First impressions can deceive! Saw the good rating this restaurant received here on Yelp and decided to try it out. I like little Mom & Pop places and this looked like it might fill the bill. As it was close to the hotel I'm staying in here in Lauderdale, I headed over there for dinner tonight. Found it easy enough with my navi but would never have found it on my own. Its on a back street in an industrial area close to the airport. When I arrived there were no cars out front. Usually when I see that I keep on driving. As I didn't have a back up plan, I parked out front and went inside. It was dead. No one else was seated in the very small dining area. Turns out I was just the first to arrive. It was packed by the time I paid the bill and left. Like I said, first impressions can deceive. So how was the meal? In a single word, fantastic! Single sheet menu with all the basic Italian dishes you would expect and a long list of specials announced by a waiter with an Italian accent so thick I could hardly understand his English. Later as other diners came in, I heard them ordering in Italian. That's when I knew I had made the right choice coming here. I ordered one of the daily specials, lasagna with hard boiled eggs and an incredible meat sauce. The portion was large, way more than I could eat considering the complimentary bruschetta they start you with and the grilled fresh slices of bread. And speaking of complimentary, at the conclusion of the meal they brought me a single clementine on a plate. The wonderful citrus smell still lingers on my fingers as I write this review. Than the coup de gras, as I pay the bill they bring me a very cold limoncello, an Italian lemon apéritif in a small cordial glass. The five stars were cemented by the service. Even the owner dropped by my table to check on me during my meal. Everyone there went out of there way to provide personal service that made me feel welcomed and appreciated. This is the place! I will be back again and again.

    Excellent dinners. I have been there twice and loved my meal. I had lasagna and chicken parm. My husband was happy too with linguine and meatballs and chick parm. Service is great. The speed of meal is fast so if you are looking for a long dining out experience this is not the case. House salad is just ok. I probably won't order it next time. I will return. Nice quaint restaurant.

    This place has a lot of charm and seems to be run by real Italians. Maps and posters of Italy are on the walls and Frank Sinatra music is playing in the background. It's very cozy and I liked the no nonsense waitress we had. The food seemed fresh and well prepared. I also liked the portion sizes; they were generous without being ridiculously large. They started the meal with fresh toasted bread with olive oil and Italian spices that was simple, good and had a pleasing aroma. I had fettuccine Alfredo that was good but the noodles didn't appear to be fettuccine noodles (see the pictures). The sauce was thinner than I was used to but I t it was quite good. I also had black bean soup (a special) that was thinner than usual and just OK. My wife had fettuccine pomodoro that was also good.

    A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN NESTLED IN DANIA BEACH! We recently relocated to south Florida so are relying heavily on YELP to direct us to great restaurants. YELP comes through again!! This quaint little restaurant nestled quietly in the corner of Dania Beach is a pearl of a find. The wait staff are second to none, suggesting and guiding us through menu. The food is fa-nominal, made fresh. Portion size is perfect. We had the mussels in wine sauce as an app, and stuffed shells and lasagna. Everything was delicious. We split a Tiramasu for dessert. A real find, I felt like I was back in SOHO, a little Manhattan spot known for its small bistros and cafes. This would sit nicely amongst them. You must give this place a try and please don't walk away because it's a small caffe....go in and be wowed!

    We were in town for one night and found this little gem with help from yelp. I had lamb chops - fantastic. My wife had the linguine w clams . A little salty, but very good and generous with the fresh clams. Tiramisu was a perfect ending. Really enjoyed the attentive staff, very professional and knowledgable.

    MAMA MIA IT'S BETTER THAN ROME. When you walk into this small Italian cafe its like going to Italy without the jet, bag check, shoe check and passport. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a smile and great service. I went with the Great Marqus R and I must say we both left happy and full. The cafe is on a side street just minutes from the airport. You really have to look and don't blink. On weekends I would make a reservation. I had the Eggplant and Marqus had the Clams & pasta. The owner comes less than 25 miles where my family lives in Italy. It's like eating in your family's dinning room. Don't be surprised if one or more people break out into a song. NOW THAT'S ITALIAN !     Wow- this is the first time Yelpers have ever led me astray... Was looking for a good place in the area and noticed Tuscany Caffe on Yelp with high ratings. Hole in the wall restaurants are right up my alley, so I excitedly talked our party into going. We walked in and there are men speaking Italian and drinking coffee in the corner. So far, so good. We were given menus. Oh boy. A great Roman waitress at an AMAZING Milanese restaurant in Miami once told me that in Italy, you won't find chicken on pasta or chicken parmesan because that's not typical in Italy, and when traveling through Rome, I found this to be true. Anyway, at lunch, you have an option of one of three entrees: chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana or chicken Milanese. Oh boy. Bread is brought out. It's okay- bread with some olive oil and some dried oregano. Soups brought out. Watery, sad lentil soup. (I'm not being a snob- I love almost all lentil soups. Carrabba's makes great one, and they're a chain!) Caesar salads were clearly made with store bought Italian dressing and (cheap) store-bought croutons on romaine. I ordered gnocchi since the waitress said they were homemade. Ummmm... These homemade gnocchi are all exactly the same size, are perfectly uniform and taste and look a lot like the gnocchi I buy at Costco for a quick dinner. Oh, and the tomato sauce it's in has that metallic tang that you taste when eating sauce that was previously living in a can (and I don't mean tomatoes in a can, I know that's the legit Italian way to go. I mean this tasted like a can of Hunt's canned tomato sauce.) So, yeah, it was like eating something a high schooler would put together to raise money for a trip to Italy. Everything tasted store-bought and assembled. I don't get it. I didn't order dessert because by that time, my very astute self had recognized a pattern. I'm not sure what's up with the good ratings on this place, especially since Yelp is almost always spot on, but alas, I walked in hungry and walked out sad. NOTE: I've gotten a number of messages about this review. I'm aware that most Yelpers like this restaurant and that makes me the oddball. Maybe I went on an 'off' day, maybe I've just been spoiled by having spent a good bit of time in Rome; I'm not sure. But in any case, please don't feel the need to message me with your opinion about this review. I wrote what I wrote because that was the experience I had at this establishment. I would have loved to have enjoyed my meal, but I didn't, and I left an honest review of my experience here. I'm sorry if that offends you.

    W O W. I was totally blown away. This joint looks like a hole in the wall-- and I guess it is-- but GO HERE. The food was absolutely outstanding...everything was homemade, probably by the delightful Italian lady that took my order, or her rotund hubby who chatted up the guests. Speaking of the guests-- what a cool place to people-watch. There was a table of locals, looked like retired mob bosses. Anyway, I'm digressing...go for the food, stay for the charm.

    Ate here last night with my girlfriend and daughter. The place is very authentic - real Italians and real Italian food. Our waiter was a nice older Italian guy who would sing to himself on his way in and out of the kitchen, which my daughter got a kick out of. They started us off with bruschetta, then brought some toasted bread with oregano. I had linguini with mussels and shrimp, my daughter had tortellini with tomato sauce, my gf had the lobster ravioli. I tried everything and it was all good - nothing mind-blowing, but for the price acceptable. I would rate the restaurant a solid three stars, but the authentic and attentive waiter, the excellent cannoli I had for dessert, and the fact that they treated us to a sambuca like the restaurants back home in Berlin earned them the fourth star.

    I really enjoy this little hole in the wall Italian Restaurant located near the Post Office in Dania Beach. It's very small and only seats around 20 inside and they also have some seating outside as well. I recently ordered the antipasto which was filled with high quality Italian Meats and Cheeses and enough really for a whole meal. My friend ordered the Lasagna which was a very generous portion with fresh homemade red gravy. Probably the best Lasagna I ever ate. It's a nice little spot.

    I knew this place would be great when I only heard Italian from three tables of retirees sipping espresso. Outstanding chicken parm. Feels like a neighborhood mob hangout. Warm, family-like service. Gelato imported from Italy! I had a long layover at the Ft. Lauderdale airport and took a taxi here. Best move I've ever made. Will go back next time I'm in south Florida.

    My husband and I were married in Italy 10 years ago. I gorged myself on Italian culture and cuisine for 5 glorious month in 2004. I haven't been back since.... work, a mortgage and 2 kids later. Tuscany Caffe is like a quick trip to Italy. The food is incredible, the servings are large, the owner and waitstaff speak Italian, and the prices are right. This will be added to our must eats list whenever we are in Florida.

    We got this on the way back to Miami from Sarasota for lunch and I was so happy that we stopped here. It is a little hole in the wall Italian place like I like but the food is like just as good or better than any proper Italian grandma could make. I had the eggplant parm and it was perfect. Better than I can do, sauce is fantastic, portion is huge and the price is probably less than it should be. Also tried a panini that the hubby got and it was yummy. I wish this place was a little closer because Dania beach is kind of a trek but as my pregnancy cravings progress perhaps we will find ourselves back here.

    What a fabulous find! From outside you would never know what a culinary experience you're about to venture in to. Perfect service, very attentive & catered to our every need. We started with formaggio (?) with truffle, all I can say is AMAZING. I hope the yelp writers review this place so they can put it into the right words (hint: Johnny & Blue). The table ordered caprese salad...very fresh & delicious, rack of lamb which was cooked to perfection, zucchini & shrimp fra diavlo (my order) over linguine which was absolutely deeeelicious & gnocchi bolognese. Everyone at the table loved their dish. They served slivers of watermelon to cleanse out palate. We topped it off with tiramisu & limoncello. Every single item we had was over the top fabulous. So glad my friends recommended this place. We'll definitely be back!

    Needing a restaurant close to FLL airport last night I went on Yelp and based on a few good reviews and ideal map location I found my new favorite Italian restaurant in south Florida! Great service combined with delicious authentic food. Simply stated the food was amazing! Fresh, homemade pasta exploding with flavor. We ordered prosciutto and mozzarella with a bottle of Sangiovese Toscano which were both delightful. For main course Lobster Ravioli and Linguini Mare Monti...each bite amazing! Cannoli was out of this world and for someone who isn't crazy about Tiramisu found it delicious...Can't wait to go back and try other menu items, worth the drive from Miami. I knew I was going to have a great diner when patrons from one table moved to another just to accommodate my party of 5 and then realizing that all the patrons in this small family run eatery were speaking Italian assured me this was going to be a great discovery. I highly recommend this place with reservations.

    Has quickly become my favorite restaurant. I crave the lobster ravioli daily. I am a big fan of the dish and have fallen in love with everything about Tuscany Cafe. The staff could not be more friendly. They go out of their way to give great service everytime. Don't order dessert? They bring you fresh fruit at no charge. Don't have exactly what you're looking for on the menu? They can make you what you're craving. Have a child in tow? Tell them what she loves and they'll whip up a kid-friendly dish. The restaurant is quaint and not commercial. Feels like you're in a dear friend's home, who knows exactly what wine you like, which sauce you prefer, and whether you like to chat or be left alone. The price is over-reasonable for the food quality, they take reservations but you can stop hy without one as I often do. I hate to recommend it so strongly for fear it gets so popular I can't pop in without a reservation, but it really is fabulous.

    This place is awesome!!! I live in Washington Dc, far away from this place. During our trip to Florida, we decided to stop and take a rest. I'm glad we did. Before we enter the place, I said that we should check other places because the entrance is not inviting, but inside is very warm though. Fettuccine Alfredo was the best one I have ever had, and I order it very often. Lasagna and Tiramisu was also very good.

    The good: Cozy, authentic-feeling hole in the wall. Think key-west style home, with Nonna cooking in the back. Only one Italian gentleman (Frank) running the show, takes your order and checks on you only as needed, so you can eat in peace. Appetizers and food came right when it should. A few tables outside on a quiet street when it's a nice night. The Bad: Very limited menu- one large print page for appetizers, about 10 entrees and a little dessert. About 8-10 tables so could get a little noisy when old worlders show up & wine flows. The Tasty: Complimentary delish bruschetta to start (and bread was toasted perfect, not rock hard like most!) Salad fresh and well dressed. Pasta al dente in simple red sauce was hearty and flavorful. Chicken parm portioned well and cheese baked just right. Bottom line- cozy, very tasty homestyle Italian at a fair price!

    WHAT a sweet little place this is. My friend Erin E. who knows ALL things Italian took me here for a girl date. The food is simple, the staff are very nice and they all speak Italian, which is a bonus cause that makes Erin happy. Make sure to sit outside. Its just SO cute. Marble sculptures and fountains and at night, I was told there are white lights. It really is a great little gem hidden on a back street in Dania. Its a great place for a date too, so guys, if youre looking for a romantic night out (Thank Lady & the Tramp Pasta Scene) this is your place. Enjoy!

    We were visiting from out of town, and we decided to check this place out based on the glowing Yelp reviews. The ambience, combined with the friendly service and delicious meals, are like alchemy. You feel like you're transported to your Italian grandmother's home, enjoying dishes made with love and authenticity. We started with the mixed green salad, and it was one of those beautiful, simple salads that was perfectly balanced. My bf had the daily special (meat lasagna) while I had the linguine with white clam sauce. The lasagna was flavorful and hearty, with great texture. The linguine was probably the best I've ever had -- it had clams in shell (not canned) in a delicate, fragrant sauce. and the pasta was perfectly al dente. We finished with mud pie and cannoli, which were decent but not spectacular. The owner took time to pay personal attention to each of us, and I loved that as a matter of course, the restaurant provided Sambuca, served flambé-style to each table. What a way to end the meal. We loved Tuscany Caffe, and I left wishing that it were in my hometown. If it were, I would come every week.

    Followed the Yelpers and tried this place out. The reviews were spot on. A little hole in the wall ? Yes....Friendly staff and owner? Yes.... The food wasn't good...it was GREAT !!!!!! My 8 year old who doesn't like red sauce ate a full plate of stuffed shells and raved it was the best he's ever had (please don't tell my Italian mom, she'd be devastated). The Italian antipasta was picture worthy and quite filling. If you are looking for authentic Italian meal The Tuscany Café is your place.

    Food, service, the family friendly environment and the coziness of the ambiance, makes for a great night of eats. I went with mom, met the chef, owner and all waitstaff, all equally friendly. Food was fresh. Super fresh, I do warn do not rush through your meal, enjoy every bite. I cant wait to go again.

    CHARMING, CHARMING, CHARMING!! Add to that deliciously fresh, authentic, homemade Italian food, terrific service, and a wonderful garden setting with rustic charm (they even grow some of their own vegetables at the back of the garden). You'll feel like you've stopped in some quaint little village in Italy and dropped into an authentic trattoria. The prices are very reasonable ranging from $14 - $20 per entrée. They offer an array of great appetizers to start your meal. My favorite is the Antipasto, a plate loaded with meats and cheeses accompanied by freshly made bruschetta and slices of herb bread brushed with olive oil. The entrée's are varied but include everything from homemade pizza to delicious rack of lamb, fresh seafood, and of course several wonderful varieties of homemade pasta. The desserts are amazing too, but if you like a Cannoli, they make the best I've ever had. They also offer several wines from Italy, and the whites that I've tried are exceptional. Once you visit this wonderful little hidden treasure, you'll go back again and again.

    Hate to do this, but they do not seem to be serious about business! I have been frequenting since they opened...then more often once they opened patio where they welcome dogs. In my opinion, this is not an operation interested in making it as a restaurant. Service has always been limited, and today worse than ever. When they opened food was definitively authentic Italian, but that changed several months back. Service is casual at best...food has deteriorated to typical American/Italian cuisine. Waited 15 minutes for someone to take my drink order, when it came, server apologized as she was busy inside! As a weekly regular i was insulted by this. Owner had passed by me twice, and when I requested service he said ' she would be there soon'! In these tough times when business should be valued by owners, i will choose to spend my money elsewhere.

    Non ci credo che questo ristorante esiste nel mio 'giardino'! I will absolutely return and you should absolutely go and get lost for a two hour lunch on a Saturday. The menu is simple; pizze, panini, insalate, e poi le specialita' del giorno. Today we could chose from tripa alla romana o spezzatino. I had the spezzatino, braised pork over fettucine, the sauce was heavenly. I was transported right back to bell'Italia. Dai, vacci subito!

    Best pasta I have ever tasted and the customer service is amazing its a hole in the wall but their pasta makes the cheese cake factory look bad! We were on vacation and stopped by and now every time we are in town we will be stopping by !!

    Let me tell you...This is a place that while you are inside, a glass of wine puts you in Italy! This is what a trattoria is all about. Simple menu with the staples of Italian culture. Food from scratch that will absolutely blow your mind! Whether you come for an espresso to talk with friends, a pannini for lunch, anti-pasti pasta and a nice piece of fish for dinner. Whether you're on a date or with a group, you will surely feel as though you are in your family's home town in Italy laughing, singing, eating and drinking in a heritage steeped in the riches...now thats Italian!

    My partner and I stumbled across this quaint cafe on our way to the beach. We didn't want to stop at a fast food place so we were holding out for something with more substance. We are lucky people. I noticed the cafe when I saw umbrella tables outside what appeared to be an Italian antique shop. It must have been the same owners or they must have been related because some of the garden statues were in the garden of the cafe. We ate in the garden out back because it was soo nice out. This restaurant had an authentic Italian aura. From the food, the decor, the menu (things were misspelled as if an Italian in Italy was learning English, down to the waiter. They had the awesome Italian accent as if they just arrived here yesterday. Each added to its uniqueness. The food was fantastic! And it wasn't just because we were starving, it was great. We both had the breakfast wrap with roasted pepper, zucchini, eggplant and egg and had a cannoli to top it off. We loved it so much, we took two Prosciutto, Mozzarella Tomato Basil Paninis to go. We didn't eat this until hours later, it was still warm and delicious. Also on the menu (I imagine also fantastic) are different types of pizza, salads, and "spaguetti" Of course they have espresso, capuccino and tea. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by there again.

    The finest italian food around, the chabatta is freshly baked daily..the soups are always fresh and delish! I adore the Caprizze sandwich fresh basi, prochutto buffalo mozarella and beef steak tomato..on fresh backed chabatta!! I rate Tuscany a 10 across the board!! Prices are very reasonalble!

    The restaurant had a homey atmosphere, small and cozy with undeniable charm. The food was very good. When you sit down they immediately bring bruschetta. It was fresh and tasty. If you order water, don't be surprised when they bring you bottled, at no extra charge. Very nice. We had chicken parmesan and clams in white wine sauce. Both were delicious. The tiramisu outstanding. The owner circulates through the room greeting guests and assuring everything is good. We eagerly await our next visit.

    My friends and I stopped by Tuscany Caffé for a quick lunch before heading back to Chicago. We were a bit nervous at first because the restaurant is small and had only four reviews--albeit very good reviews--at the time. Every one of us were so glad that we were able to eat at Tuscany Caffé! First of all, when you walk in, the space itself may not be very impressive, but it is very quaint and clean. One wall is lined with various wines and drinks, and there are interesting photographs and posters hung up on the walls. The restroom is also very well-kept. There are outdoor tables and, I believe, statues and a garden in the back, but my friends and I weren't able to check those out due to the weather and because we had to catch our flight. Secondly, the menu and food were great! As another reviewer mentioned, the menu is simple: paninis, pastas, pizzas, salads, appetizers, and desserts. Our friends stuck to the paninis and pastas. I ordered the Italiano panini--prosciutto, mozzarella, basil. I also tried a pasta dish that is not on the menu--pastas stuffed with cheese and pear and covered in a creme sauce. Both were delicious. I also tried the tiramisu, which was so good. Every one of us in the party of eight enjoyed our dishes. FYI, most of the patrons were Italians, and they seemed to be enjoying their food and company in the restaurant. We knew that was a good sign, since it's always a good thing if you see an ethnic restaurant filled with people of that same ethnicity... kind of like a sign of approval. :) The thing that won me over was the customer service. I couldn't get the owner's name, but he was the sweetest gentleman. He greeted us, accommodated our large group and moved around some of the tables, recommended his favorite items, etc. Also, there's apparently been some construction going on in that area, and he didn't want to risk giving us tap water without boiling it, so he gave us bottles of Pelligrino sparkling water for free. He was so friendly and charming--and very humble and gracious. He checked up on us a couple times to make sure everything was okay. A very nice gentleman indeed. :) If I ever go back to Florida and Dania Beach, I will stop by this place again. :) If you are the owner or an employee of Tuscany Caffé, I just want to say thank you for today! :)

    A gem in Dania! The food here was amazing and the service was too. The food tasted like it was a home-cooked meal right from Italy. Frank, the owner, greeted us with a handshake when we arrived and made us feel like we were family during our entire meal. You must definitely try!

    I stopped by this place because of the yelp reviews and it so happened to be walking distance from my mechanics shop. I went first thing in the morning and ordered a cappuccino and it was excellent and so ordered another while waiting for lunch hours to begin. It was quiet and perfect to read my iPad. The decor needs help but it was clean. My service was horrible. A pretty blonde lady was my server. She seemed to care more about her coffee and morning conversation then helping the only guest in the place. I ended up ordering the chicken parm with red sauce. It was worth the crap service. It was a big plate of fresh al dente pasta and tender chicken with home cooked sauce!! It was delicious. I'm a little person and I ate it ALL because I couldn't put the fork down. I didn't care for the bread that accompanied but didn't care. Great food,boring atmosphere(garden was closed) and below par service but the food will bring me back and the the price was fair.
